Our Team

Michael Drage

(Director)

Michael is the strategic driver behind reimagined habitat and our broader net zero vision.

With a strong background in building design, project leadership and prefabricated construction systems, Michael is deeply committed to reshaping how homes are delivered in Australia. He is passionate about scalable solutions that combine high performance, cost certainty and reduced environmental impact.

Michael plays a key role in guiding our pre-designed net zero habitat homes and panelised construction systems — ensuring that performance targets, construction efficiency and long-term durability are built into every project from the outset.

His focus is simple but powerful: create homes that perform beautifully, are financially responsible, and stand the test of time.

Simone Schenkel

(Principal Designer | Certified Passive House Designer)

Simone is the creative and technical heart of reimagined habitat.

As a Certified Passive House Designer and experienced building designer, Simone specialises in high-performance residential design grounded in building science, health, and climate resilience. Her work goes far beyond aesthetics — she is driven by how a home feels, performs, and supports wellbeing over decades.

Simone has been an active contributor within the Australian Passive House community for many years, with deep expertise in PHPP modelling, airtightness detailing and healthy material selection. She believes energy efficiency, indoor air quality and comfort should be standard — not optional upgrades.

Her approach combines thoughtful design, rigorous performance modelling and a strong commitment to educating clients so they feel confident and empowered throughout the journey.

Bevan McKenzie

(Design Communications Manager | Certified Passive House Designer)

Bevan brings a rare blend of technical depth and creative clarity to the team.

With experience as a Building Designer, Senior Revit Drafter and BIM Technician, Bevan has worked across all stages of design and documentation — from early concept development through to construction delivery. He holds an Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) and is also a Certified Passive House Designer.

Bevan is passionate about innovative, sustainable and universally functional design that balances the needs of the client, community and environment. His role bridges communication and technical delivery — ensuring ideas are translated clearly, documentation is robust, and performance targets remain front and centre.

Our Supporting Team

Behind every successful project is a dedicated group of specialists working collaboratively.

Our extended team includes sustainability engineers, certified passive house designers, energy modellers, BIM technicians, documentation specialists and trusted consultants — all aligned around one shared goal: delivering healthier, high-performance homes that meet rigorous energy and carbon targets.

We don’t treat sustainability as an add-on.
It is embedded into our systems, our modelling, and our construction approach from the very beginning.

Together, we combine design, engineering and delivery to ensure that every reimagined habitat project is thoughtfully resolved, technically robust and built to last.
